BedTime Music Vol.1

This is the first zine I designed for my friend Xuan’s independent music label, Sweet Pillow. In this issue, we talk about how the label began and Xuan’s journey with independent music.

The name Sweet Pillow comes from one of Xuan’s childhood memories. When she was in elementary school, she would listen to the radio while doing homework or before going to bed. After her parents had fallen asleep, she would hide under the blanket with her MP3 player, quietly listening to music through the night. The pillow became a silent companion, holding all the emotions that the songs brought to her.

That was also her first encounter with independent music. Since then, she has organized tours across China, traveled throughout Europe and the UK to attend concerts, and in the summer of 2025, organized her first music festival.

This zine brings together those memories, photographs, and conversations, documenting the path that gradually led to the creation of Sweet Pillow.
